Grade 1/2B

Hi Everyone,

I am very proud of all my students who put a lot of effort into practising for the concert. They all performed very well on the night of the concert. Ziyad and Kafiana also need to be commended on their efforts whilst introducing our class onto stage.

The Grade 1/2B class performed to 'Everything is Honey'- by Winnie the Pooh and his friends.

A.A. Milne is the Author of the Winnie the Pooh books. He was also a famous poet.

A.A.Milne was born in the year 1882 and he passed away in 1956.

His famous quote was: "You are braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."

In Literacy, students have been focusing on Procedural writing. Students made fairy bread, hot chocolate and fruit kebabs by following procedures they had written. Students had a lot of fun whilst learning how to write and follow a procedure.

Also students participated in Literacy week by completing various activities, Brimbank Council librarian incursion and we ended the week with a Character parade. Thank you to all students and teachers who dressed up on the day.

For Numeracy, we had two incursions. World of Maths and Professor Maths visited our school. Students were placed into groups to work together to solve problems and to develop team building skills.

In Integrated studies this term students completed various Olympic Games activities. Students had so much fun learning and completing hands on activities. Students attended a comprehensive Gymnastics program to further enhance their learning in activities that were performed at the Olympic Games.

I would like to wish everyone a happy Eid El Adha and a very safe and enjoyable term break. I am looking forward in seeing you all in Term 4.
